WHAT: Art Hop Group Exhibition of Halloween-themed artwork

Central Valley artists are invited to share their most horrific artwork at Colligo Studio. "Cute" creations are welcome as long as it is Halloween-related (funny, pumpkins, candles, etc).
Artwork must have been completed within the past 2 years ( 2009-2011) and can be entered even if it was previously exhibited or/and awarded.
Only original work (no printed material) can be submitted.
Media accepted: include but not limited to oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, charcoal, pencil, ink, multimedia.
One-of-a-kind small sculptures, jewelry, clothing, and merchandise are welcome, no bigger than 20” x 20”. No mass production or retail items.
No photographs.
Even if you used reference pictures the artwork must have been created by you only. For example, you can turn “American Gothic” into a scary painting, but cannot simply copy the movie poster of “A nightmare on Elm Street 3”. You cannot just duplicate an action figure from a movie but sculpt your own version of a character. Please respect the creator’s work and copyrights law!
Artwork must be scary or horrific but not offensive, aggressive, degrading, or disgracing (include but not limited to gore, racism, anti-Semitism, slavery, pornography, pedophily, sadomasochism, etc.)
Up to 5 pieces per artists. Due to space limitation, Colligo Studio has the final decision about accepting or not your work and reserves the right to display less than 5 pieces.
FREE to exhibit. However, all the artwork submitted must be for sale. Colligo Studio will take a 20% commission on all related sales (before tax).

Artists will be notified if their work is selected and will be asked to bring their original piece(s) to Colligo Studio from Wednesday, September 28 - Sunday, October 2, 2011.
